CyboSoft Wins Grant from The US Department
of Energy
May 1, 2006 – CyboSoft (Rancho Cordova,
California) today announced that it was rewarded a US Department
of Energy (DOE) grant for the research and development of
Intelligent Control of Advanced Power Generation Systems Using
Model-Free Adaptive Control Technology. The R&D work can
result in an intelligent control system for controlling boilers
in future energy plants that can deliver maximum-energy-efficiency,
near-zero-emissions, fuel-flexibility, and multi-products.
This could represent a major breakthrough for the combustion
industry.

The SBIR and STTR grants are designed to support scientific
excellence and technological innovation through the investment
of federal research funds in critical American priorities
to build a strong national economy. In 2006, The Department
of Energy evaluated 1,387 Phase I SBIR and STTR Grant Applications.
Among them, 259 applications were selected to receive SBIR
awards, and 30 were selected to receive STTR awards.
